Top Hat Niecy

*starts singing* "Broadway rhythm, it's got me, everybody dance!" Enter the lovely Parisian songbat, Deniece la Chauve-souris, in boots, leotards, and a TOP HAT!

Ever since I was a child, I was very much inspired by music, theater, and the Broadway culture (as I'm a native New York and New York is in my blood). In this drawing, I wanted to incorporate movement of the figure in a lively manner. This picture was originally a stick-figured gesture drawing, a technique I learned in my Figure drawing classes. I drew in the details of the character, then re-defined it using Adobe Illustrator techniques.
